Wow, what a great day at Burke. Weather was fantastic. Kids were psyched and so was I.
Cost of rental equipment, one hour lesson, transport to/from Mountain on school bus, and skiing 2 hours - $5/student. Cost to me as a chaperone - free. Witnessing and being a part of these kids lives as they go from acquainting themselves with equipment to becoming skiers and conquering the J-bar in two sessions? Priceless.
Be advised that the cost of food in the snack bar though is pretty steep. Two 20 oz bottles of water cost $6, and a small order of fries is $3.50. Ouch!
